Dr. Jacqueline Bock is a Native Alaskan and the daughter of homesteaders who arrived in Alaska before statehood. She holds 2 bachelor’s degrees, 2 master’s degrees one in counseling and the other in special education, a PhD in Clinical Psychology and Post Doctoral Certification in Neuropsychology. She is a licensed psychologist in the State of Alaska and a certified special education teacher. In her private clinical practice focusing on Neuropsychology, Dr. Bock conducts neuropsychological evaluations of adults, youth, and children with a variety of developmental, degenerative, and acquired neurological disorders including traumatic brain injury, learning disorders, ADHD, dementia, FASD, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, cognitive and behavioral effects of medical disorders, personality and emotional functioning. One of her special interests is Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). She was trained in this area at the University of Washington Fetal Alcohol and Drug Unit, and she has participated on the Central Peninsula Fetal Alcohol Diagnostic Team since 2001. She is called to consult, provide expert witness testimony, and conduct neuropsychological evaluations of individuals with FASD and other areas of cognitive and emotional functioning from across the State. In addition to having taught special education, Dr. Bock has taught doctoral and masters level courses in psychology and she is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Alaska Kenai River Campus. She is the current President of the Frontier Community Services Board of Directors. Dr. Bock is a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology; she is a lifetime member of Psi Chi – National Honor Society for Excellence in Academics and Research in Psychology, and a proud member of the Ninety-Nines, which is the international organization for women in aviation. Dr. Bock is married to a pilot and a pilot herself. Aviation, flower gardening, hiking, and tiffany method stained glass are among her hobbies.
